Carlos San Pedro has been making his own wines for 20 years. His career path began even earlier, helping his father in the vineyard since childhood. When he decided to set up Bodegas y Viñedos Pujanza his philosophy was already quite clear: to focus on the land so as to know and understand perfectly each of his plots and the behaviour of the grape varieties depending on the conditions of each year.

That’s why Pujanza wines are only made using Tempranillo and Viura, the indigenous varieties which represent their origin to perfection and are well known for allowing themselves to be influenced by the soil and climate. Hence each wine’s vintage is converted into a highly representative piece of information. In its passage through the bodega, the important thing is for the wine not to lose that link to the vineyard plot from which it came.
